I have played a couple of MicroProse games, Civilization and
Darklands....Civilization could have had a few minor
improvments..but..no offense but... Darklands really needs help. The
idea for the game is good but it is not very user friendly.. one of my
friends and I said "What the hell??????" all to often during the short
time we played and finally said forget it when the game ended in error.
The main problems were that when we installed the game it didn't like
the SoundBlaster and kept locking the computer so we had to settle for
PC speaker sound, and after our first battle when I hit Use door the
game ended in error. As I said above the game leaves something to be
desired when it comes to being user friendly. No offense but if
Darklands and Civilization are your best games I would be highly
unlikely to purchase anything by MicroProse in the future. I am
currently a computer science major I would like to work for a games
company. I have played alot of games from alot of companies, I feel that
I have quite a good idea of what makes a game 'the best'. My programming
skills are not superior, but my ideas are (not to seem arrogant or
anything). If you have any employment openings in a department such as
ideas/creative design or something along those lines I think your
company would benefit from my ideas. If MicroProse is interested please
give me a call, if you are not interested please give me a call and let
me know. I can be reached any weekday during working hours at my home
